Dan and Kelly met as members of Singers on the Grand, and when they had the opportunity to duet, they quickly came to the conclusion that it couldn’t be just a one-time collaboration! Their similar approach to performing and a shared love of singing jazz standards led to the formation of Clique in 2016. The duo performs at local events, pubs, eateries, senior centers, and outdoor park concerts, as well as out in front of Lansing Concert Band’s jazz big band as featured vocalists. March 14: UrbanBeat in Lansing's Old Town, 7:00.

March 24: "Brunch with a Side of Jazz" at BrickHaven Brewery, Grand Ledge. 12:30–2:30 p.m.

April 13-14: Appearing with Singers on the Grand at the Grand Ledge Opera House. "Vintage Vinyl" revue features hits from the 1950s to 1980s. Two shows: Saturday night and Sunday matinee. More details TBA; tickets available on the Opera House website.

April 26: Capital Area Humane Society Fur Ball Gala: we'll be entertaining in the silent auction room! 6:00-7:45, Eagle Eye Golf Club. Gala tickets at adoptlansing.org

May 4: Appearing with Singers on the Grand at Portland Community Theater. "Vintage Vinyl" revue features hits from the 1950s to 1980s. More details TBA.

May 16: Jazz for a Cause: a fundraiser gala benefit for SIREN Eaton Shelter. Grand Ledge Opera House, 6:00. Featuring the LCB Big Band and Clique. Gourmet hors d’oeuvres and cocktails catered by Cork & Ladle. Beer and wine also served. $125 couple/$75 individual also includes 2 drink tickets. All event proceeds will benefit SIREN and its services for the homeless and domestic violence victims in Eaton County. Ticket link >

About us

Kelly Sandula-Gruner’s music career began at age 4 with piano lessons, and at age 11, she fell in love with the French horn! Music gave her the opportunity to travel extensively: tours have taken her through the United States, including Hawaii; China, Hong Kong, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Germany and France. Kelly holds degrees in both music and commercial art, and currently works as a graphic designer. She is a long-time member of the Lansing Concert Band (horn), and featured vocalist with the LCB Jazz Big Band. She performs with Singers on the Grand, and local community theatres.

Dan Templin loves to entertain! He sings, acts and plays piano with several mid-Michigan performing arts organizations including Singers on the Grand, the LCB Jazz Big Band, and local community theatres. A fan of many musical genres, he was also a member of the Take Note barbershop quartet of Grand Ledge for many years. By day, Dan is an attorney.
